Three more days until Sara's due date and she is MORE than ready to have this baby! She is so uncomfortable right now. I just hope she can get as much rest as possible over this next week because she won't be getting much sleep once the baby comes. (Neither will Zach.)
It's strange to think that a baby will most likely be here by this time next week! The doctor will schedule an induction if Sara hasn't had the baby by this Tuesday! We are so excited about having a third grandchild!!! I hope and pray that the labor and delivery goes well for Sara.
And speaking of grandchildren, we are really looking forward to seeing Zoe and Ezra (and of course their mommy) on Tuesday!
We finally had beautiful weather today so Mark and I took a 15 mile bike ride on the River Bluffs trail. I'm a bit sore but plan on doing this a lot more frequently as long as we have good weather. I feel it right where I need it...thighs and butt!
And, I finally made it up our hill without stopping! I was completely exhausted by the time I made it to the top but I kept on peddling. I kept saying to myself, "Biggest Loser, Biggest Loser, Biggest Loser"! I figured if they can put up with tough workouts 8 hours a day, I could handle a little pain for a couple of minutes or so. It worked!

Countdown -- 10 Days!
Mark and I met up with Sara and Zach today at Gordon Biersch's for lunch at the Flatirons Mall. Yummy hummus and goat cheese salad! Afterwards, Sara stayed with us as we walked around the Flatirons Mall while Zach got new tires for his car. Stopped off at HomeGoods and Target on the way back to their house.
Took more pictures of Sara and she is still quite radiant -- a beautiful pregnant lady! (Check out her week 39 photo on the right!) Only 10 more days until her due date!

Pleasant Day
We enjoyed having Sara and Zach join us for Easter Brunch at the club yesterday! We sat with our friends, Karen and Bob, their daughter, Lisa, her husband, Tom and their two daughters, Lilah and Rorey. De-li-cious meal and certainly enjoyed the conversation!
Of course, I had to pull out the camera again and shoot some pictures; our photos were taken at our house. I try to document all the special moments...that's pretty much everything!
Two weeks to go now until Sara's due date! Her pregnancy has sped by. It's hard to believe that in just two weeks or so we'll have a new granddaughter! This really is exciting! It's surreal to me to think that MY baby is having a baby of her own!

A Picture Perfect Day
Today couldn't be any more beautiful...snow capped mountains, crystal clear sunny skies and 80 degrees! Wow, just gorgeous and such a comfortable temperature! Springtime in Colorado is like a grab bag...reach in and get a surprise! Some days are like today and then the next will be snowy (our prediction for tomorrow night). That's okay because if we do get any snow, it will most likely be gone the next day at the latest!
Mark and I drove down to Sara and Zach's to drop off a few large items that wouldn't fit in either of their cars. They gave us a parent's version of their wedding album...absolutely gorgeous! It brings back such wonderful memories of that special day!
After spending a couple of hours there we headed back north. Ate at a Mexican restaurant on the way home (very good and one we'll need to bring Holly and the kids to next month) and am now watching the second half of the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) vs Butler game in the semi-final. With 9 minutes to go, VCU seems to be choking...hope they get it together soon!
Sara is still looking as beautiful as ever as she now starts week 35! Can't believe she barely has a month more left of her pregnancy. She and Zach now have most of the essential things they'll need for the baby early on. It's strange to see their house transforming to make room for a baby!

Sara's Baby Shower
Had a fun time yesterday at Sara's baby shower with family and friends! Many thanks to Dani for hosting it and to Rachel for organizing and leading the games. Sara and Zach got many needed baby items and were very appreciative of everything. Sure wish Holly could have joined us as well as our Minnesota and East Coast relatives but this just wasn't possible due to the distance and ridiculous cost of airline tickets.
Sara is a beautiful pregnant lady who is ready to have her body get back to normal; not an uncommon thought for most pregnant ladies at this stage of the pregnancy. She only has 1 1/2 months to go! Wow! Seems like it's gone by quickly.

A Visit with Sara and Zach Today
We had a nice visit with Sara and Zach today! We brought the Krispy Kremes...yummy! Sara and Mark put dinner in the crock pot then Sara and I made a quick trip to Homegoods. Zach ran out to get a haircut and Mark stayed behind to put the last paint touches on the baby's room; he painted the closet pink! The room has come together quite nicely!
After we all were back at the house, I pulled out my camera and started the pregnancy photo shoot. I really appreciated Sara and Zach having patience while I went through different poses and shots with them together and with Sara by herself. This was the first of several I hope to do throughout the summer. Click on Sara's latest photo on the right and you can see a few of the pictures I shot.
We wrapped up our visit with a nice dinner and then headed for home. Sara really looked great today...just beautiful! She is starting her 33rd week of pregnancy and I can't believe she only has 2 months (or less) left to go before the baby arrives! Exciting!

Day with Sara
Had a very nice day today with Sara! She drove up to Fort Collins and we did a little pregnancy and baby shopping. She looks great! Check out her week 30 photo on the right. We're all getting very excited about the new baby arriving in a couple of months!
Holly and the kids will be out here for three weeks in May. Very glad Holly will get to see her new niece and Zoe and Ezra will get to see their new cousin shortly after she makes her appearance!

Wedding Photography
After talking to the bride's parents this afternoon, Mark and I are all set to photograph a wedding next January in Delaware! Whoo-hoo! We are very excited (and flattered) to be doing this most special event!
We'll do an engagement photo shoot for the couple in September, too! This will be a great opportunity to get to know them more. We'll also check out the church and other locations where we'll be shooting pictures.
We'll be taking lots of pictures between now and then to practice our craft! (Of course, this is something we normally do anyway...always shooting pictures!) We'll be taking a bunch of photos on our trip to California and then we'll do a pregnancy photo shoot with Sara and Zach when we return! Fun!!!

Got a Little Ahead of Myself
I want to make a correction on my last post about Sara starting her third trimester at 24 weeks. I got a little ahead of myself. The third trimester actually starts with week 26 although most of us say that the third trimester begins as you enter month 7 or week 28. How quickly we forget!
